Welcome Maria
Maria joins the team with over 15 years’ experience in Project Management, practising the skills of Agile and Scrum since 2017. Her experience spans the Army and MOD, across a variety of Departments, including working with the Royal Household, policy development across Personnel Management, and leading teams in Phase One Training organisations.
Her leadership training began at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in 2008, embodying the Serve to Lead ethos and values of a servant leader. A varied military career spanning almost 2 decades, roles which include a range of Regimental Duty and Staff appointments. The pinnacle being a Company Commander of up to 200 recruits conducting Basic Training at The Army Training Centre (Pirbright), this was where her passion for coaching really started.
Her experience in Scrum started in Army Digital Services, chosen as the Product Owner to support the development of a Personnel Management and Tracking tool. The application was part of a suite of digital tools within the Field Army Information Explaoitation Programme – the aim was to deliver business improvements and efficiencies supported by digital systems developed using the Agile and Scrum framework. The Scrum Team was formed from scratch and transformed quickly into a high performing team delivering high value incremental outputs, which set the benchmark for other teams within the programme.
Her skills were soon recognised within the Scrum Teams, and she transitioned to Scrum Master where her passion for Scrum really came to life. Her experience across the MOD and Army brings a wealth of knowledge and skills to Agile Monster; be that supporting our clients through facilitating Scrum Ceremonies to providing coaching and consulting on everything agile!
